Tell me where I stand,
Tell it to me if I’m still that special man.
Where are those rosy words
Where are those oathes?
Where are those vows
To take my last name
Till judgement day?
All those for better for worse
Or has bullet been exhausted
From the love gun?

I can perfectly remember those days
I was the only one around you.
The only one you vouched to say
Yes I do .
I have not forgotten
That I was the only one to tell you
You’re beautiful.
It slipped not out of my memory
Ever since you said to me
In a lovely whispering manner
That you wanna be the one
I’d take to mama
So by the laws of love
She’d be our mother.
Wait! Were all these lies?
When I try to hold your hands
You’re not here.
I see you everyday of my life,
But in a different light.
I then saw in you my wife
But its now dawn on me
That you came for a ride.
When you spoke
It made my drooping heart to cheer.
Then when you blow me a kiss,
I always felt like you’re the one
I’d spend the rest of my life with
Like it were cash.
Because I said you’re beautiful
You took me for a fool.
When I said to you
That it’s only you I want to learn to love
Did you ever consider that
A silly rant or some Playboy chant?
Despite blowing the goodbye kiss
You still get angry
When you see me with another girl.
But you expect me to grin with envy
When I see you as a sandwich
Between a man and his bed.
Does that ring any bell?
I’m keeping my cool
Despite lots of troubles you made me go through.
Without being a wrestler
I went through hell in a cell
Using my nose to smoothen
The rough edges of the cell bars.
Inside of me I grumble
For I regret in me we were ever a couple.
I don’t want to apportion blames
For why our relationship wobbled.
If I ever come across a girl like you again
I’d not let my emotions show
No matter how high the feelings might grow.
I’d rather unveil the devil at the alter
Than have you hurt my feelings deeper.
I would rather remain single
And forever mingle
Other than attain a MBA
Married But Available.
